Obligations of Pupils

All pupils must be in possession of a valid driving licence and meet the DVLA medical and eyesight requirements. You will be asked to provide a ‘driving licence check code’ so that your instructor can re-evaluate your driving licence.

The ‘check code’ can be obtained at: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence  The code lasts for 21 days and can only be used once.

For the instructor to look at the code they will need you to supply them the following information: Your check code & the last 8 characters of your driver number which can be found on your driving licence.

An app called Total Drive is used to book and manage lessons. This includes pupil progress, payment recording, lesson reminders and a messenger service between pupil and instructor. All Pupils must download and regularly monitor their app. Login details are supplied by your instructor. There is also a parent version of the Total Drive app enabling parents to book and pay on the learners behalf and monitor their progress.

The pupil must be punctual for their lesson, the instructor will wait approximately ten minutes at the nominated pick up point, if after ten minutes the pupil has not arrived or made contact the lesson will be cancelled and the cost of that lesson will be payable in full by the pupil.

If your instructor is not 100% happy with your state of health or demeanour they will not start the lesson and will explain that the lesson will have to be postponed until you have recovered.

Cancellations by Pupil
