Super proud right now of Sarah Roberts who at 8.10am today passed her manual car test in Lancing.

Sarah and I have had an epic journey together that started back in July 2019 when I myself was a newly qualified ADI. When she first contacted me she asked “do you offer automatic lessons?” Which I didn’t. We had a little chat and it turned out her dad had suggested manual lessons probably weren’t for her - sorry dad but today she proved you wrong! 😜

Over the past 2 years and 9 months our lessons have been halted by national lockdowns and constraints for lessons and tests due to covid and Sarah’s work commitments in a nursery.

Sarah has demonstrated that perseverance and determination eventually pay off. Today was her 4th attempt at the test (she gave permission for me to tell you that!) and each time more nerves crept in. She’d have passed the first time if only the nose of the car was an inch further back into the bay but after that it took a lot of work for her to believe she could actually pass.

I’ve believed in Sarah throughout but last night she finally had a turning point, messaged me and said “I know I can do it”, I’d been waiting what felt like forever to have her say that and today she did it in style.
